The channel
Animals, sports, and family fun: sing-alongs, bloopers, and episodes from the Air Bud universe.
Built across nearly 700 uploads since the channel launched in 2014.
A library of family films anyone can watch on YouTube at no cost.
Public channel totals as of September 2026, not results from my time on the account alone.
The brief
The strategy
Every thumbnail was rebuilt from the original files and official photos. We made “Free Movie” prominent so viewers knew at a glance the film was free on YouTube.
We broke films into parts, like Air Bud Part 1, 2, and 3, so families could pick what fit the time they had.
We brought the former Netflix series to YouTube for free, with compilations and a robust Shorts rollout. The episodes are available in the U.S.
Monetization
The biggest lever wasn’t a video. It was the settings behind every video.
Alongside the packaging and catalog work, I reviewed and fixed the channel’s monetization settings, then optimized them across the library.
We also experimented with clips, but getting monetization right made the most immediate difference.
The outcome
A classic catalog, presented clearly and free for families to enjoy.
